Comandatuba Ocean CourseDesigned by architect Dan Blankenship, this course is located at Hotel Transamérica on Ilha de Comandatuba. Following the most recent world trends, the course has undulations, differences in levels and sandbanks located strategically to take advantage of the ocean winds, thus enhancing the challenge for professionals and amateurs. Terravista Golf CourseBuilt on mountainous cliffs 20km away from Porto Seguro, this golf course gives athletes the indescribable feeling of playing between the sea and exuberant strech of the Atlantic Rainforest. ParanáBourbon Iguassu Golf Club&Resort Alvaro Novais design was implemented in an old tropical fruit orchard and has five lakes (one of them with a fountain) with plenty of fish and refreshment booths all around. The area is a refuge for such birds as woodpeckers, herons and South American lapwings. And what’s more : golfers get to play hearing the loud roar of the Iguaçu Falls, 10 Km off, in the background. Rio de JaneiroBúzios Golf Club & Resort The many challenges this course presents have made it earn a reputation as the most difficult one in Brazil. It includes 6 natural lakes, two artificial ones, 65 sandbanks, soft hills, 5 outlet tees and a diving range over 100m deep. Campo do Hotel do Frade & Golf Resort With na area of 170 million m2, Peter Allis and David Thomas original design received a special scenery between the Ilha Grande bay and Serra da Bocaina National Park. Gávea Golf ClubThis is the most traditional Brazilian golf course was designed by the Scotsman Arthur Morgan Davidson in his youth and entered the list of the 50 best courses outside of the USA. Located between São Conrado Beach and Pedra da Gávea, Pedra Bonita and Morro do Cochrane, it lies next to Tijuca Forest, the largest urban forest in the world. Located within the Blue Tree Park of Mogi das Cruzes, this course is practically flat and is sometimes the object of strong winds. It has five artificial lakes and many pine trees, ficus trees, palm trees, coconut trees and fruit trees in a green area of 1.2 million m2.
